Synopsis

In 1963, John Fitzgerald Kennedy was the thirty-fifth President of the United States and Walter Cronkite was anchor of the CBS Evening News. On November 22nd of that year when JFK was shot, Cronkite wanted to be first to get the story. Even for the experienced wire-service reporter, the events of that day were the greatest challenge of his entire career and led to him becoming "the most trusted man in America."
