Paramedics called to 127 Hours premiere

The young woman’s fit came 45 minutes into the screening at Beverly Hills’ Samuel Goldwyn Theater, where the film’s stars James Franco, Amber Tamblyn and Kate Mara had walked the red carpet.

After the movie finished, director Danny Boyle spoke out to assure the crowd that the woman was doing well, reports OKMagazine.com.

Boyle also clarified that the incident “had nothing to do with the movie”, in which Franco plays the real-life adventurer who was forced to amputate his own arm with a penknife after becoming trapped under a boulder during a hike in Utah.

It’s not the first medical emergency to occur at screenings of the grisly film – a number of guests have passed out during bloody scenes.
