Pearls and Swine | 1997
Down-on-his luck salesman Finnbogi and his wife Lisa, in need of fast money, see their chance when a run-down bakery goes on the market. Though they know nothing about making bread and cakes, they mortgage their home to buy the place, and start undercutting their competitors by supplying hot-dog rolls at about half the usual price. They're soon joined by Karolina, an elderly woman who loves to bake elaborate cakes, but Karolina's daughter, Marta, who runs a large, assembly-line bakery, decides that Finnbogi and Lisa have to be stopped. Finnbogi also becomes involved with selling sex aids, some of which accidentally turn up in his pastries, causing havoc at a formal affair the bakery has catered.
