Orlando Bloom Lives Out His Meme and Takes the Hobbits to Isengard in New Set Video

After six movies and two trilogies, poor Peter Jackson is charged with saying goodbye to his Lord of the Rings and Hobbit cast members as they finish shooting his final Tolkien film, There and Back Again. On Friday, we said goodbye to Sir Ian McKellen, and his character Gandalf. It was a nostalgic goodbye, and it was slightly emotional. And then, on Saturday, the director gave a sendoff to Orlando Bloom, and his mighty Elf Legolas. His goodbye is…slightly less emotional.

It is, however, very funny. Bloom, as Legolas, was as large a part of this adventure as Gandalf was, earning one glorious meme that you might remember as a tribute to his journeys through Middle Earth. And now, as he concludes his work on the third Hobbit movie, Bloom celebrates that very meme with dignity. But that’s all I’ll say. Instead, I’ll let the video do the talking. Goodbye, Orlando. Goodbye, Legolas.
