‘Pitch Perfect’ Trailer: The Big Screen Answer to ‘Glee’?

Pitch PerfectFans of competitive a cappella singing (and Blackstreet’s “No Diggity, No Doubt”), rejoice: The Pitch Perfect trailer has arrived.

In what Universal hopes is the cinematic equivalent of TV’s Glee, Anna Kendrick stars as a college student/secretly great vocalist who joins one of her school’s a cappella groups as an escape from her unhappy campus life.

Brittany Snow and the great Rebel Wilson — clearly in line for an even bigger breakout than the one afforded to her by last year’s Bridesmaids — also star in veteran TV (Dawson’s Creek) and Broadway (Avenue Q) helmer Jason Moore’s feature directorial debut. Check out the trailer below, and don’t miss Pitch Perfect when it hits theaters Oct. 5!
