Power actor Rotimi pays back a third of 50 Cent’s $100,000 ‘loan’

Rotimi has paid back $100,000 (£80,000) of the $300,000 (£237,000) he owed 50 Cent, after his Power co-star demanded he return the cash in a post on Instagram.
The In Da Club hitmaker, who stars alongside Rotimi in the hit U.S. TV show, posted a video which referenced the star’s record Walk With Me, as he ranted: “My man you owe an outstanding $300,000 now WALK WITH ME to the bank.” He gave Rotimi, real name Olurotimi Akinosho, until Monday (03June19) to pay the alleged debt.
But as he appeared in a live video on TMZ on Thursday, Rotimi set the record straight about the situation, telling reporters that 50 accused him of owing him the money after he let him out of a deal he’d had ahead of the release of his track Love Rhythm.
Admitting that the way 50 conducts his business is “unorthodox”, Rotimi added that he has paid 50 $100,000, with the rest of the money set to be recouped by the producer through track royalties.
Following the release of the TMZ video, 50 took to Twitter to insist that he’s on good terms with Rotimi, writing: “I have no problem with @Rotimi in fact I wish him and his family the best God bless. POSITIVE VIBES.”
