Quentin Tarantino working on ‘conquering the concept’ of Kill Bill: Vol. 3

Quentin Tarantino has assured fans a third installment of Kill Bill is on the cards.

The filmmaker spoke with U.S. late-night host Andy Cohen about a possible addition to the hit franchise, and revealed he’s been plotting an upcoming installment with leading lady Uma Thurman.

“I just had dinner with Uma Thurman last night,” he said. “We were at a really cool Japanese restaurant. I do have an idea of what I would do with (Kill Bill Vol. 3). That was the whole thing, conquering the concept. What has happened to The Bride since then? And what do I want to do?”

Thurman received Golden Globe nominations for her performances in both the original 2003 and 2004 films, and Tarantino is keen to develop a script that will enhance her character’s legacy.

“I didn’t just want to come up with some cockamamie adventure. (The character) doesn’t deserve that,” he explained. “The Bride has fought long and hard. I have an idea now that could be interesting. I still wouldn’t do it for a little bit.”

He added: “It would be at least three years from now (but) it is definitely in the cards.”
