Return of Billie Jean gives Michael Jackson his 50th Hot 100 hit

Michael Jackson’s 1983 hit Billie Jean has given the late King of Pop his 50th Billboard Hot 100 hit in the U.S. The track became popular again last week (ends23May14) after a viral video featuring Brett Nichols, a California high school student, dancing to the tune became an Internet hit.
As a result the song has returned to the Hot 100 at 14, where it joins new Jackson tunes Slave to the Rhythm and Love Never Felt So Good, the King of Pop’s duet with Justin Timberlake.
Jackson’s latest pop chart feat comes a week after he became the first artist to score a top 10 in five successive decades.
