It’s pretty common knowledge that Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin were the first men to ever step foot on the moon, what’s not so common knowledge of the testing that was done, the pressure to be first, and the dangers the men went through.
Damien Chazelle plans to change that with his film ‘First Man’. In the film, we see Neil Armstrong’s (Ryan Gosling) every decision before, during, and after. His training with Deke Slayton (Kyle Chandler) and NASA, his family life with wife Janet (Claire Foy), the testing and training that didn’t always go as perfect as you could want, and the media attention and everything else that lead up to Neil Armstrong landing on and being the first man on the moon in 1969 (Spoiler alert?).
‘First Man’ releases October 12, 2018.
