SDCC 2011: Exclusive ‘Shark Night 3D’ Images Showcase the Screams

header_CC.jpg

If you take Jaws, put it in a blender with a few cans of Red Bull, max out the blade speed, then quickly rocket the brutal concoction off the side of a cliff, the result is something akin to Shark Night 3D. This isn’t some psychological wait-around-for-the-monster-to-appear kind of horror movie. This is about a ruthless water beast with a mouth full or razor blades tearing up co-eds and turning speedboats into explosive balls of fire.

Sounds fun, no?

Lucky Comic-Con attendees will have a chance to check out a bit of Shark Night 3D at the movie’s official SDCC Experience (featuring a mechanical shark for battling/photo ops), but for the rest of us, we’ll have to wait until the David R. Ellis-directed (Snakes on a Plane, The Final Destination) flick hits theaters September 2.

In the meantime, I’m happy to pass along a few exclusive images from the movie, which should give you an idea of the exceptional amount of duress our young leads will find themselves in as they attempt to stay safe at their lake house (don’t these teenagers know not to take vacations to lake houses by now!?). Going on vacation any time soon? Don’t let these scare you too much:
