Secret Kings of Leon gig sells out in under an hour

A secret Kings of Leon gig in London sold out in thirty minutes.
The Nashville rockers announced on Tuesday (18Oct16) they would be playing an intimate set in the British capital later that night, at London night spot 229 The Venue, in London’s Great Portland Street which regularly plays host to touring indie and rock bands.
The $24 (£20) tickets went on sale at 1pm, and the only way fans could get their hands on one was to turn up in person. The lucky few who managed to secure a spot were allowed to buy just one ticket.
Thirty minutes after the box office opened, the venue’s management posted on Twitter that all tickets had gone.
Fan queued around the block to bag their place at the small night spot, with many posting photos of long lines of Kings of Leon fans on social media.
The band, made up of brothers Caleb Followill, Nathan Followill and Jared Followill, and their cousin Matthew Followill, announced a U.K. tour last week, missing London off the five-date itinerary.
They’ll play Leeds, Birmingham, Newcastle, Liverpool and Glasgow in February 2017, after finishing their North American and German gigs.
WALLS, Kings of Leon’s seventh album, was released earlier this month (Oct16).
