Organizers of the annual MIPCOM conference in Cannes (Oct. 8-12), where TV programs are sold on the international market, have assured attendees that they are increasing security measures in light of last week’s terrorist attacks. In a notice posted on the MIPCOM website www.mipcom.com conference President Xavier Roy noted that security has been increased at all airports, train and bus stations and in public places and that the city of Cannes plans to take additional security measures at the Palais, in hotels, and throughout the city.
