The first rule of spying should be not to fall in love.
‘Allied’ is a 1942 spy film directed by the great Robert Zemeckis. In the film, an intelligence officer, Max Vatan (Brad Pitt), is working on a mission behind enemy lines. When things go wrong, he meets a french resistance fighter Marianne Beausejour (Marion Cotillard). The two decide to cover up with alibis that they are in love. Very quickly they actually do fall in love and Max wants to bring Marianne back to London. They have a child and things seem perfect. The English intelligence officers and Frank Heslop (Jared Harris) have reasons to believe Marianne was a double agent and actually worked for the Nazis. They have 72 hours to figure out what side she works on, or else Max has to kill the love of his life and mother of his child.
Allied is out November 23, 2016.
