McDonald’s is the biggest fast food chain in the country. The chain went from celebrating over a million burgers sold, to grossing worldwide over 25 billion dollars with over 36 thousand restaurants.
That didn’t come easy, though, and that’s what The Weinstein Company is trying to show in their newest film ‘The Founder’. McDonald’s was started by brothers Mac (John Carroll Lynch) and Dick (Nick Offerman) McDonald, and when milkshake maker salesman Ray Kroc (Michael Keaton) saw what the brothers had, and foresaw what it could be, he had to get in on it. Ray mortgaged their house without his wife Ethel (Laura Dern) even knowing, and Ray brought on the decision of franchising the brand out to people, and literally take the name McDonald from the brothers.
The Founder releases on January 20, 2017.
