20 years ago Trainspotting hit the ground in an indie film dealing with Heroine and Edinburgh.
Now they are coming back in 2016 for ‘T2 Trainspotting’. Rent Boy (Ewan McGregor), Spud (Ewen Bremner), Sick Boy (Jonny Lee Miller), Franco (Robert Caryle) have all returned with Director Danny Boyle.
The film is based off the Trainspotting sequel, with the serious name of “Porn”. It’s was released last Friday for our friend across the pond in the UK but will be released worldwide in March. In the film, Mark “Rent Boy” returns to Edinburgh from Amsterdam. Spud continues with heroine, Simon still does cons with Veronika while being the landlord at a pub. Simon is still mad at Mark for leaving, and Mark has to stay away from the old habits that damned him so long ago.
The world has changed a lot in 20 years, but old friends and Edinburgh hasn’t. Mark has to stay away from his old vices, or he will be damned again.
T2: Trainspotting 2 releases March 31, 2017.
