See The Cast of ‘Hocus Pocus’ 22 Years Later

22 years ago, the greatest Halloween movie to ever exist was released. Hocus Pocus is a staple in preparing for Halloween. There is a reason that ABC Family plays the movie at least 10 times during the 13 Nights of Halloween. It’s not October (A.K.A. Halloween Time) without Hocus Pocus! Get your broomsticks ready and see what the cast looks like over 20 years later.

Someone like Bette Midler needs no introduction. As a singer, songwriter, actress, comedian, and film producer, her career has spanned almost half a century. She has been nominated for two Academy Awards, and won three Grammy Awards, four Golden Globes, three Emmy Awards, and a special Tony Award. 22 years after her "favorite movie" to work on, Bette is still very much active. She recently signed onto the TV movie The Third Coast. In 2014 she released her 25th album, It's the Girls!, the album spans seven decades of famous girl groups, from the '30s onward. In 2015 she embarked on the Divine Intervention Tour, where she reminisced her Hocus Pocus days and dressed up as Winnie once again.
Sarah Jessica Parker - Sarah Sanderson

Back when SJP wasn't a household name, she was the sultry (and dimwitted) Sarah Sanderson. Since then, she's known around the world as Carrie Bradshaw. After 6 seasons and 2 movies (maybe 3!), her days as Carrie on Sex and The City are over for now, but she's become a style icon. After SATC, she appeared on the final season of Glee as the sort-of mentor to Chris Colfer's character. She's currently working on the TV series Divorce, a show about couple that goes through a long, drawn out divorce.
Kathy Najimy - Mary Sanderson

Did you know Kathy Najimy voiced Peggy Hill for over 13 years on King of the Hill? We didn't even recognize her voice! She's been busy over the last two decades since Hocus Pocus first premiered. More recently, she's worked on the shows Make It or Break It, The Big C, Veep, and Inside Amy Schumer. If you're still watching the Disney Channel, then you saw her as the Evil Queen in the film Descendants. She recently finished post-production on the films A Change of Heart and No Letting Go, as well as the TV series The Jamz. Najimy is known for being an outspoken feminist, as well as an activist for human rights and gay rights. She uses her celebrity status to donate money to charities by appearing on game shows, like The Weakest Link and Celebrity Poker Showdown.

As you may or may not know, Omri Katz is MIA these days. He hasn't acted since 2002, when he was in the short film Journey Into Night. Unless you count the 2006 short film Perfect Girl (available only on YouTube) that is listed as "adult related" content.

After her days as the annoying little sister in Hocus Pocus, Thora Birch went on to star in the hit films American Beauty, Ghost World, and The Hole. She went on to receive an Emmy nomination her portrayal of Liz Murray in the made-for-TV movie Homeless to Harvard: The Liz Murray Story. After that her days of acting turned to indie films and low-budget movies, like the horror film Dark Corners. Her last acting credit was from the 2012 film Petunia and after that she took a break from acting. On September 18, 2015 it was announced she would star on the show Colony, as she's decided to return to acting.
Vinessa Shaw - Allison

Until Hocus Pocus, Vinessa Shaw had very small roles in TV and film. After the film, she worked on a ton of indie films until she played an HIV-positive prostitute in Stanley Kubrick's Eyes Wide Shut opposite Tom Cruise. She starred in the 2006 remake of Wes Craven's The Hills Have Eyes, which was a box office success. She followed that up with 3:10 To Yuma with Russell Crowe and Christian Bale. In 2014 she played Kate McPherson on the Showtime show Ray Donovan.

Amanda Sheppard - Emily Binx

In probably one of the most bizarre internet mix-ups we’ve ever read, for years many people (ourselves included) believed that the actress who played Emily Binx was Jodie Amy Rivera and just used to go by Amanda Shepherd, as the Hocus Pocus IMDB states. But they’re two very separate people. Jodie is better known as YouTube star VenetianPrincess and was not Emily Binx, just a child extra in the film. The real Emily Binx is Amanda Shepherd, as broke the news in an exclusive interview with both women. Amanda is no longer an actress and instead is a luxury real estate agent in Malibu, California. She’s also in the band HeHeHaHaFun Spooky Fact: She told Cosmo that Hocus Pocus had a pretty deep impact on her life, as she’s learning about shamanism and becoming a “green witch” now.

Sean Murray - Thackery Binx

If you're like us, when you think of Binx, you think of an adorable black cat (and the weird animatronic that it worked with). For years, we totally forgot what cutie Thackery looked like as a human. But you probably didn't realize he's actually pretty famous! Sean Murray has starred as Special Agent Timothy McGee on NCIS since 2003.
Larry Bagby - Ice

Shortly after he was Ernie A.K.A. Ice in Hocus Pocus, he played bully Larry Blaisdell on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Without the shaving of his head, you might not have recognized Bagby over the years on shows like JAG, Dragnet, and The Young and the Restless. Most recently, he was in the 2014 film Hypnophobia. He's currently filming The Job, a film with a very interesting plot line.

Jay lost the hair and we're actually kind of digging his more mature look! Over the years, he has appeared in various different movies and TV shows, like: Batman & Robin, Pretend Time, Southland, The Young and the Restless, and Shameless. In 2015 he was in Fire City: End of Days with Glee's Harry Shum Jr.
Doug Jones - Billy Butcherson

Fun fact: Doug Jones loves to become unrecognizable creatures! His talents haven't gone unnoticed, he's inspired numerous online threads about the fact that he's been in so many amazing movies and never once looked like the same person. He played Abe Sapien in both Hellboy movies. He managed to play two characters in Pans Labyrinth (Pan and The Pale Man) and we bet you didn't even notice! He was the Ice Cream man in Legion. Between the end of 2015 and 2016, he has 11 projects set for release, like The Bye Bye Man and How Do You Say Dad in Greek.
