For the ending of a great film franchise like the Robert Langdon series, you can’t have the premiere at any location. Sony Pictures chose to have the world premiere for ‘Inferno’ at the birthplace of Italian poet Dante at the majestic Florence Opera house (Teatro dell’Opera) in Florence, Italy.
‘Inferno’ is the last book in the franchise to be turned into a movie with 2006’s hit The Da Vinci Code and 2009’s Angels & Demons before it. In the film Robert Langdon (Hanks) suffers from Amnesia but must uncover the secrets of the Dante mask and stop a terrorist group from unleashing a virus and whipping half the earth.
Inferno releases Friday, October 28, 2016.
