I’ll be honest with you, the Thor movies were my last favorite in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The second one was so forgettable I couldn’t tell you what happened in the second half. It was time for a change, and it was time to get weird. The fans wanted it, Chris Hemsworth knew that, Kevin Feige and Marvel figured it out after Guardians, so now we have ‘Thor: Ragnarok’.
First to change was the director and their style. Enter Director Taika Waititi who proved how funny he could be with his film “What We Do In The Shadows”. He had the challenge of making a fun movie that could fit in the Marvel world. In the above interview Chris Hemsworth discusses how they knew they had to change things, Taika Waititi explains how he wants people to feel alive while watching this film, Mark Ruffalo tells us about giving Hulk fans what they want while showing a different softer side of the green giant, and Tom Hiddleston and Tessa Thompson talk about Waititi’s love of improvising.
‘Thor: Ragnarok’ releases November 3, 2017.
