Shaft's Big Score | 1971
Private investigator John Shaft is working on the case of Cal Asby, a respected Harlem funeral home director who was killed by an explosion after concealing a large amount of money in a coffin. Shaft suspects that Cal's partner Kelly may be involved with the mob in Harlem, and soon after Cal's death, Kelly comes to Shaft's house to tell him that he is taking over the business. The police bring Shaft in for questioning, fill him in on what they know about the murder, and release him on the condition that he keep them up on any leads he finds in the case. So Shaft hits the streets to find the killer and keep his neighbors safe.
