Sons help Sir Elton John become friends with village locals

Sir Elton John has found a new group of friends among the mums and dads who send their kids to the same village school his sons attend.
The rocker moved to Old Windsor, England in 1975 but never socialised with locals until he became a dad and decided his children should attend the parish school nearby.
“The other parents are so lovely,” he tells The Talk. “We put them (sons) in the nursery in the village hall with all the other local kids and that’s the first time I got to speak to anybody in the village and they were so nice.
“So when I go to pick them up I always talk to the mums about the clothes… and we’ve become friends with so many couples in the village, in fact two of the couples, with their children, come with us on holiday.”
And Elton credits his children for giving dad a sense of community: “I didn’t have (that) before,” he explains.
