Sons and Daughters | 2000
As a woman is giving birth, in some faraway country, two men are waiting outside to take the child. Twins are born, a boy and a girl. The two men take the boy, while the obstetrician is able to hide the girl (Rosa) in a bag. Twenty years later, Rosa finally manages to track down her brother, who's living in Milano with his new family. After using e-mail to tell him about their common past, the absurdity of their being taken apart and their real mother's premature demise, Rosa comes to Milano to meet him. Javier cannot believe her story, but the doubt has seeped in. Rosa shows him photos and certificates about their union, and Javier follows her to Barcelona: there's a DNA analysis center there which could certify their kinship. And the obstetrician who gave birth to both of them.
