Stage actress Liliane Montevecchi dies at 85

Stage star Liliane Montevecchi has passed away at the age of 85.
The French actress, singer and dancer died in New York City over the weekend (30Jun18to01Jul18) after a battle with colon cancer.
She was best known for her role in the Broadway musical Nine, which earned her a Tony Award in 1982. She also appeared on the Great White Way in La Plume de Ma Tante, Folies Bergere and Grand Hotel, for which she was also nominated for the coveted award.
She leaves behind a companion of 30 years, Italian actor, Claudio Saponi. Montevecchi will be buried in Paris while a memorial service is set to be held in New York.
