Summit Entertainment is up to its ears with Vampires thanks to its cash-cow Twilight. Now the relatively new company is looking to expand its genre stable with the acquisition of The Dark Endeavor, a novel that chronicles an adventure of Dr. Victor Frankenstein before he created his monster. He is set out on an epic quest to save his brother and find three magic… umm… things… that will help save him. The book is apparently full of inside jokes about Mary Shelly and her novel, which I’m sure will go over great considering how popular early 19th-century references are. Hell, most people don’t even realize that Frankenstein isn’t even the name of the monster. Sheesh.
