Carly Rae Jepsen announced on Twitter last night that she has been cast as everyone’s favorite beauty school dropout, Frenchy, in Fox‘s upcoming live remake of Grease.

Jepsen joins fellow Pink Ladies Julianne Hough (Sandy), Vanessa Hudgens (Rizzo), Keke Palmer (Marty), Kether Donahue (Jan), as well as T-Birds Aaron Tveit (Danny), Carlos PenaVega (Kenickie), and David Del Rio (Putzie). It was also announced that the opening theme, “Grease (Is the Word),” will be performed live by Jessie J.
There are also some rumors concerning the original cast. While there’s no news about John Travolta, Olivia Newton-John is rumored to be making a cameo as Rydell High’s principal, Principal McGee, and she’s definitely the one that we want.
