‘The Boss Baby: Family Business’ According To A 7-Year-Old

Hey, Hollywooders! What’s Good in the ‘Wood?

We thought we’d do something a little bit different this time when reviewing movie premieres. Instead of sharing my opinions about The Boss Baby: Family Business, we’re sharing a 7-year-old child’s thoughts about the film!

Children always have the most beautiful imaginations. I mean, we were all kids once, right? A movie could have 1 straightforward story, and a child could share a whole new perspective on it! Adult minds might be a little jaded, but kids still have the desire to dream. It’s the most magical thing if you think about it.

Well, to test our theory, we interviewed Callie*, a Hollywood.com staff member’s 7-year-old daughter, who’s a fan of the original The Boss Baby, about her thoughts after seeing The Boss Baby: Family Business.

Callie says The Boss Baby is about “family.”

When asked about the story of The Boss Baby: Family Business, Callie said the movie is about “a baby and his family is always there for him.” How precious!

Callie continued gushing on about the film and her favorite character from the sequel: the “new little girl.”

“She’s really good at martial arts,” Callie explains. “She loves to do favorite activities. She’s a girl and a really cute baby.”

Callie’s descriptions make us want to drive to the movie theater and see The Boss Baby: Family Business on the big screen ourselves!

In The Boss Baby: Family Business, brothers Tim Templeton (James Marsden) and Ted Templeton (Alec Baldwin) are grown up. The 2 brothers have drifted apart since Tim now lives with his wife and 2 daughters, and Ted is a successful CEO. When Tim discovers that his youngest daughter Tina (Amy Sedaris) is the new boss baby, he must reunite with Ted to help save his older daughter Tabitha (Ariana Greenblatt) and parents everywhere from an evil mastermind (Jeff Goldblum).  Eva Longoria, Lisa Kudrow, and Jimmy Kimmel also star.

With a movie called The Boss Baby: Family Business, how could the premise not be centered around family?! In the end, the film is all about the lengths you’ll go to save the people you love, even if they may get on your nerves from time to time. I’d say Callie’s thoughts were pretty similar to the story.

Callie even managed to talk about the new Boss Baby character, Tina, and all of her cool tricks! What a fun way to think about a movie.
