Synopsis

In the last days of World War II, a group of German schoolboys are recruited to military service and ordered to defend the bridge which leads to their town. Instead, they are met upon by a needless and tragic slaughter at the hands of the Allied forces and the blame falls on the German military leaders who put them there, fully knowing the consequences.
