The Diplomats preparing first new music in five years

Rapper Cam’Ron is officially reuniting with his The Diplomats bandmates Jim Jones and Juelz Santana to embark on a new tour and work on their first new music in five years. The hip-hop group parted ways in 2007 following a fall out between founding members Cam’ron and Jones, but they put their differences behind them in 2010 and hit the road for a number of live dates.
They teased fans with the release of their comeback single Salute and have played a handful of shows in the years since, but now they have decided to head back into the studio to lay down lyrics for a new mixtape.
The band, also known as Dipset, has also made plans to perform on a five-stop tour, hosted by New York radio DJ Funkmaster Flex, this year (15).
Sharing the news of the latest reunion on Instagram.com, Flex writes, “I just spoke to @jimjonescapo x I just spoke to @Mr_Camron x I just spoke to@thejuelzsantana !!!!! These 3 men have put the bulls**t aside and are ready to rock!!!!”
The Diplomats have not released a new album since 2004’s Diplomatic Immunity 2, while their last mixtape was unveiled in 2005.
