The Dirt director hated filming hospital scenes about Vince Neil’s daughter

Motley Crue biopic director Jeff Tremaine has heaped praise on child star Kamryn Ragsdale for her “unbelievable” portrayal of Vince Neil’s daughter during her final days.
The rocker’s little girl, Skylar, lost her battle with cancer in 1995, when she was just four years old, and shooting the hospital scenes for The Dirt proved to be heartbreaking for father-of-two Tremaine, even though young Kamryn made the tough sequence look easy.
“She was incredible,” he gushed. “And that was a really emotional scene to shoot, I couldn’t believe this little kid was bringing that to the table. She was unbelievable, easy to work with. She just put herself in the zone. I hated every second of being in that hospital scene.”
Despite his personal feelings about the shoot, Tremaine knew it was vital to show both the high and low points in the bandmates’ careers, including singer Vince’s legal troubles following his 1984 car crash, and the drug struggles endured by Nikki Sixx, reports UltimateClassicRock.com.
“I think of the movies that I like, and they’re not just one thing,” the filmmaker explained. “Trainspotting takes you on a full roller coaster. And I’m not saying this movie is as good as Trainspotting, or not, but I love that movie for the ride it takes you on. There’s a lot of dark s**t, a lot of fun s**t and everything in between. That’s what I wanted to do with this movie, it’s good and bad, it’s fun and horror.”
The Dirt, which features Daniel Webber as Neil and Douglas Booth as Sixx, debuted on streaming service Netflix on Friday (22Mar19).
