The First Full ‘Venom’ Trailer Is Finally Here

There was one major complaint about the Venom teaser…

It didn’t have Venom.

The first trailer was just released and they fixed that.

The trailer mostly follows the origin story. Eddied Brock (Tom Hardy) is a reporter who will do whatever it takes to get the story. He has a girlfriend he loves in Anne Weying (Michelle Williams), and she supports him. He goes for the company she works with and interviews Dr. Carlton Drake (Riz Ahmed) who of course does not want to give him the full story. When someone (Jenny Slate) tips him off that Dr. Drake’s company has much more to hide he goes to find out what it is. The symbiote takes over the body and is the next step in evolution. This symbiote takes to Eddie Brock and kills at will. It’s a game of split personalities and it looks awesome.

It’s too early to tell how much Venom is actually in the movie, as well as if the Ying to Venom’s Yang, Spider-Man (Tom Holland), will make an appearance. Also, fans of the comics are quick to note (possible spoiler ahead) that we never see Venom’s chest, which might mean he doesn’t have the iconic white marks on it, which would make sense because he got those from fusing with Peter Parker.

There’s still much to speculate, but it looks like we will finally have an awesome Venom movie.

Venom‘ releases October 5, 2018.
