We’ve been waiting nearly 30 years for this

Michael Keaton was previously hesitant about filming due to coronavirus concerns.

“To be honest with you, you know what worries me more than anything about all this stuff? It’s COVID,” Michael Keaton said to Deadline in March. “So, that’s my first thing about all projects. I look at it and go, is this thing going to kill me, literally? And you know, if it doesn’t, then we talk.”

Michael Keaton made his debut as Batman in Tim Burton’s 1989 hit movie that The Wrap says “changed how superhero films were viewed and paved the way for the genre’s future box office domination.” Prior to his debut as Batman, Michael Keaton starred in comedies like Beetlejuice and Johnny Dangerously.

The last time we got to see Michael Keaton as Batman was nearly 30 years ago in the 1992 movie Batman Returns. When Joel Schumacher replaced Tim Burton as director of future Batman films, Michael Keaton stepped away from the role.

Michael Keaton has been keeping busy in the past 30 years. He starred alongside Hollywood starlet Nicole Kidman in the 1993 drama My Life, played Riggan Thomson in the 2014 movie Birdman, and most recently played Ramsey Clark in The Trial of the Chicago 7.

Here’s what we know about The Flash so far

In The Flash, we’ll see Michael Keaton alongside Ezra Miller as Barry Allen, who travels back in time to attempt to prevent the death of his mother. He ends up creating a universe protected by Batman, who is now 30 years older.

The Flash is set to be released exclusively in theaters on November 4, 2022. We can’t wait to see the first trailer––follow us on Twitter so you can see it as soon as it drops.
