The force is with Mark Hamill as he unveils 2,630th Walk of Fame star

Luke Skywalker stopped traffic in Hollywood on Thursday (08Mar18) as thousands of fans checked out his Walk of Fame star ceremony.
Crowds mobbed Mark Hamill as he prepared to unveil his plaque, prompting traffic police to shut down streets leading to the ceremony, which was also attended by the actor’s Star Wars castmate Harrison Ford and director George Lucas.
Hamill shot a skit before his ceremony as he faked jackhammering comedian Jimmy Kimmel’s star outside the El Capitan Theater to make way for his own.
Kimmel’s late-night show is filmed next door.
The Star Wars icon previously poked fun at U.S. leader Donald Trump as he celebrated news of his Walk of Fame star last month (Feb18).
“Can’t say this is a dream come true because I was never foolish enough to think something like this could ever happen,” the actor tweeted. “When part of me doubts I deserve such an honor, I remind myself that someone got a ‘Star’ for just one c**ppy reality show.”
Hamill was referring to President Trump, who received the 2,327th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2007 for his work on reality show The Apprentice.
