The Ghost Inside bassist thanks fans for prayers and support after fatal bus crash

The Ghost Inside bassist Jim Riley has thanked fans for continuing to send “good juju” the band’s way after the rockers were involved in a fatal bus crash last week (ends20Nov15).
The accident occurred on Thursday (19Nov15), when their bus collided with an 18-wheeler semi-truck on a highway just outside of El Paso, Texas, where they had performed a show the night before.
The impact killed the drivers of both vehicles, while drummer Andrew Tkaczyk suffered serious injuries and remains hospitalised. The four other members of the band and its crew also required treatment, with a total of five passengers initially listed in critical condition.
On Sunday (22Nov15), bassist Riley took to Facebook to share an update with fans, revealing those who remain under doctors’ care are now stable.
The message reads: “Hey all. Jim here offering a quick update. The last 48 hours have seen everyone’s condition improve. We are surrounded by lots of loved ones and the vibe today is very positive. Asking again that you keep sending good juju our way and keep the families of the two drivers that lost their lives in your thoughts. It will be a few more days before we share any individual details.
“The doctors here are phenomenal and we are in the most capable of hands. Thank you thank you thank you for the love and support. Life is swinging hard. We are swinging harder.”
The Ghost Inside cancelled the remaining dates on their U.S. tour in the aftermath of the crash, while a crowdfunding campaign was also set up online to help the bandmates cover the costs of their driver’s funeral.
