Members of the European Film Academy have singled out the movie for potential Best Film and Best Director (Polanski) honours, while star Ewan McGregor is up for a Best Actor prize.
In the Best Film category, the movie, which also features Pierce Brosnan, will compete with Turkish film Honey, France’s Gods & Monsters, Lebanon, Soul Kitchen and Oscar-winning Best Foreign Language Film The Secret in their Eyes.
The winners of this year’s EFAs will be announced on 4 December (10).
