Meet ‘The Heartbreak Kid’ Hottie from Hell: Malin Akerman

[IMG:L]Here’s how we knew The Heartbreak Kid’s Malin Akerman was going to capture the hearts of man-children everywhere: she’s a woman who unabashedly enjoyed the usually guy-centric comedy of the men she worked with. “It was such a great film to shoot with Ben Stiller and the Farrelly Brothers,” says Malin. “It was insane. It was like being at summer camp for three months. There wasn’t a serious moment in that whole time.”

Hollywood.com unveils 10 more reasons why we fell head over heels for the hottie from hell.

Reason #1: Even she realizes her character Lila, Ben Stiller’s beautiful new bride, is batshit bonkers.
“Going from something sweet and innocent to something completely not and that no man ever wants to be married to? Absolutely not–I wouldn’t even want to be married to someone like her. She’s crazy.”

Reason #2: She forgives her anyway.
“She’s not a mean person. She does pull herself back and apologize, so you she knows she’s out of control sometimes.”

Reason #3: She’s not afraid to admit that even normal female behavior may seem totally mental to men.
“I think it comes from the truth. I’ve watched it myself, where a guy can give a compliment to a woman and she takes it as like ‘What, you think I look fat in this?’ It’s not at all what they said. Women have a way of contorting things sometimes. We all have our moods, ups and downs. Or if the guy doesn’t say anything when you walk out with a new top and the guy has no idea why you’re mad at him. So of course women are complicated.”

Reason #4: She has no problem performing in the buff.
“[I’m] comfortable enough. I’m definitely not prudish when it comes to those things. If the scene requires it and it’s for a reason and it’s not gratuitous, then yeah. It’s gotta be real. In Europe and Sweden we see boobs on TV and it’s not a big deal. Everyone has them, everyone has seen them. I’m not completely comfortable. It’s not the first thing you want to do. I’m not like ‘Hey, let me take my top off.'”

[IMG:R]Reason #5: She takes direction for extreme sexual positions well:
“They were quite acrobatic. Peter [Farrelly] actually performed them for me before [shooting] because I did not understand what he was saying. He’s like “So Malin, I want you to get on the bed and upside down with your head hanging down and your feet.” So he got on the bed and showed me. It was really sexy when Peter did it. They were definitely some crazy positions that I’ve never tried myself and I don’t think I would … It was too funny. We’d call cut and we’d all start cracking up. It’s like you’re in a really funny scene and you just happen to be having sex in it. But of course it is awkward there with Ben and you’re like “So how’s your wife?”

Reason #6: You can ask her anything.
“[The craziest thing I was asked to do was] put a fake, put a merkin on–a fake bush–and pull my pants down and pee on Ben Stiller‘s back. But not literally pee – just a tube coming down from the merkin.”

Reason #7: She’ll abandon Method acting for courtesy.
“I tried to [do the peeing scene after a couple of Big Gulps], but Ben wouldn’t go for that. He was like, ‘No, f*cking way.'”

Reason #8: It’s okay to compare her to that other Farrelly Brothers babe.
“Everyone is kind of projecting and thinking it’s going to be great and thinking “It’ll be like the Cameron Diaz thing.” which would be wonderful if it happens. If not, I’m sure it’ll be a great film and a successful film and we’ll just see. Hopefully I get more jobs from it.”

Reason #9: She went ga-ga over the comic book geek “bible” Watchmen, in which she plays the former Silk Spectre in the film version.
“I had no idea before I went to the audition. The script was fabulous and I went in and I got the part and I was really excited for a great film, and then I read the novel and I can’t even believe the magnitude of it. It’s unbelievable and brilliant, [the writer] Alan Moore. I was at Comic-Con and they’re crazed for it. It’s their Holy Grail … [director] Zack Snyder is one of Watchmen‘s biggest fans as well. So to have the director be one of the biggest fans you’re going to get out of it what every fan wants. So we’re involved in a really great project, I think–if you ask me.”

[IMG:L]Reason #10: Did we mention she’s totally geeked about being in Watchmen?
“This is a really cool role. She’s sort of the psychology of the film because she’s the only woman in the Watchmen, aside from the previous Watchmen. She is a femme fatale. She is a kickass fighter. I think she sort of carries the emotion of the film because she is the only woman amongst all of these men. They’re going through sort of not being the Watchmen anymore and dealing with that, as well as trying to figure out who is trying to kill them off … [It’s a] really great role that I’m so excited to do because it’s so opposite from what I just did. It’s a wonderful novel and very true to the novel. If you’re familiar with the novel that’s it.”
