The Little Prince will rule at Netflix

Jeff Bridges and Rachel McAdams’ forthcoming animated movie The Little Prince has been picked up by Netflix bosses.
The star-studded film adaptation of the classic Antoine Saint-Exupery story had been due to open in U.S. and Canadian theatres on Friday (18Mar16), but it was quietly pulled from release by studio executives at Paramount Pictures days earlier.
No reason was given for the cancelled launch, even though The Little Prince, which also features voice work by Paul Rudd, Marion Cotillard, James Franco and Benicio del Toro, has earned $100 million (£69 million) to date at the global box office, after opening last year (15), reports Deadline.com.
The project, directed by Kung Fu Panda filmmaker Mark Osborne, has now been rescued by Netflix officials, who plan to stream The Little Prince on their Internet film and TV streaming service later this year (16).
