The movie is listed at number 95 on the American Film Institute’s “100 Greatest Love Stories of All Time.” In 2019, Disney+ premiered a live-action of Lady and the Tramp, using a mixture of CGI and real dogs during filming.
Although the original film was released over 60 years ago, it still makes an impact on pop culture. The spaghetti scene in particular has been parodied over the years by various TV shows and movies.

While the film is filled with chaos and antics created by the new puppy, there’s a lot of heart. Just locking eyes with the yellow lab on the screen gives us a cuteness overload! In the end, Marley & Me focuses on the joys and intimacy of what makes a family a family.

Kevin Chevalia, Veronica Lauren, Benj Thall, Kim Greist, and Robert Hays also star.
While the film is a remake of the 1963 film The Incredible Journey, it grossed $57.4 million worldwide. For a children’s movie, Homeward Bound is an intense and emotional story of how far animals will go to be with the family they love.

Top movies about dogs: The Secret Life of Pets (2016)
The animated comedy The Secret Life of Pets gives viewers a first-hand look at what pets do when their owners aren’t home. Louis C.K. plays Max, a Jack Russell Terrier who has his life turned upside down when his owner takes in a stray dog Duke (Eric Stonestreet), a large shaggy Newfoundland mix.
The movie has an all-star voice cast including Kevin Hart, Jenny Slate, Ellie Kemper, Lake Bell, and Bobby Moynihan. In a behind-the-scenes interview with the cast, Eric Stonestreet talks about the complexities around his character Duke.
“Duke is a big, shaggy, hairy Newfoundland mutt dog.” he says. “He sort of comes off as one thing but really he’s sort of a little protective of what’s really going on.”

The film was a massive box office success and earned more than $875 million worldwide, making it one of the highest-grossing films of 2016. In 2019, Illusion Entertainment produced a follow-up sequel in which Patton Oswalt takes over the character of Max.

Although the new Disney movie Cruella has made waves in movie theaters since its recent release, we’re focusing on the 1996 live-action 101 Dalmatians. In this film, two Dalmatian parents, with the help of their owners (Jeff Daniels and Joely Richardson), must save their litter from the evil clutches of fashion designer Cruella de Vil (Glenn Close). While the dogs don’t have speaking roles in this film, their facial expressions and black polka dots steal the show.
The film received a Golden Globe nomination for Glenn Close as Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy. A sequel, 102 Dalmatians, was released in 2000.

John Travolta and Miley Cyrus play the ultimate dog-human duo in the animated comedy-adventure film Bolt.
