The Trailer For Carrie Fisher And Debbie Reynolds’ Documentary ‘Bright Lights’ Is Going To Make You Cry

Earlier this weekend, we rang in 2017 with the sad absence of Debbie Reynolds and Carrie Fisher. The mother-daughter duo passed away in late December only a day apart. What we didn’t know was HBO had filmed a documentary starring the two beloved actresses.

Bright Lights was originally set to air later in 2017, but after Reynolds and Fisher’s deaths, the network decided to premier it this week. The trailer delves into the complicated relationship between Fisher and Reynolds (part of which was described in an emotional Oprah interview). It also looks at Fisher’s struggle to cope with bipolar disorder and the tole performing took on Reynolds, who was in her 80’s at the time of her death.

The documentary will undoubtedly be tear-filled for those of us watching, but it also seems like a fascinating look into the pair’s unique relationship and unconditional love.
