Comedian Pete Davidson is set to get serious to star alongside Tom Hardy and Bill Skarsgård in a new Vietnam War drama.
Pete is still doing comedies as well
The Things They Carried will be based on Tim O’Brien‘s 1990 novel, which was inspired by the author’s own experiences as a young soldier in the controversial conflict.
Tom Hardy will also be in two more Mad Max films
Snow White and the Huntsman filmmaker Rupert Sanders will direct from a script adapted by A Simple Plan writer Scott B. Smith, reports Deadline.
Other actors previously cast in the project include Ready Player One star Tye Sheridan, If Beale Street Could Talk‘s Stephan James, Moonlight actor Ashton Sanders, Martin Sensmeier from Wind River, former Hannah Montana regular Moises Arias, and Euphoria‘s Angus Cloud.
Production is scheduled to begin early next year (2021) in Thailand.
