September 11 film United 93 has been named the Best Movie of 2006 by the Online Film Critics Society.
The film, about passengers who rebelled against terrorist hijackers and crashed a jet in rural Pennsylvania, was a surprise choice for the prize.
Helen Mirren was named Best Actress for her role as British monarch Queen Elizabeth II in The Queen, with Forest Whitaker taking the Best Actor prize for his portrayal of Ugandan dictator Idi Amin in The Last King of Scotland.

Martin Scorsese won the Best Director award for helming crime drama The Departed.
