I’m not much of a car guy, but there’s something in the DNA of a Fast and Furious racing scene that turns automobiles from smog-creating transportation devices into the the sexiest things on the planet. I guess it helps that they’re driving sports cars instead of my crappy 1995 Mazda Protege from high school. So is life.
The latest installment of the Fast franchise, Fast Five, hit Blu-ray yesterday, but we’ve got a sneak peak at some of the behind-the-scenes features on the disc that make beautiful stars driving hot rods at top speeds even slicker. If that’s even possible.
In this snippet of footage, director Justin Lin and Paul Walker get downright giddy over a Porsche stunt—a car they’ve been dying to use in the series and finally found a chance in Fast Five. The results are magical.
