Thank the hackers for this one.
The Trailer for Director Martin Scorsese‘s ‘Silence’ wasn’t supposed to come out until people saw Allied in theaters, and then online Saturday for the rest. Thanks to hackers leaking the trailer, Paramount has decided to gift us the trailer a little earlier than planned, and boy did they deliver.
‘Silence’ is based on the 1966 novel of the same name by Shūsaku Endō. In the seventeenth century, two Portuguese Jesuit priests, Father Sebastião Rodrigues (Andrew Garfield) and Father Francisco Garrpe (Adam Driver) were sent to Japan after Father Cristóvão Ferreira (Liam Neeson) had renounced his faith, something Rorigues, and Garrpe thought he would never do. The two Fathers would bring Christianity to Japan as well as find out what happened to their fellow clergymen, all at the risk of danger, death, and questioning if God exists.
Silence will release on December 23, 2016.
