Wes Anderson is bringing Christmas to us early this year with a charming short film promoting H&M’s holiday collection starring Adrien Brody.
Okay, so it’s basically an H&M commercial, but to call it a commercial would totally sell it short. It feels like The Darjeeling Limited set in a winter wonderland. It’s sweet, heartfelt, and visually stunning.
The short, called “Come Together,” follows Conductor Ralph (played by Brody) who unfortunately has to let passengers know that difficult weather conditions and mechanical difficulties have delayed their train 12 hours — on Christmas. We’ve already got tears just thinking about all these passengers missing their families on Christmas morning, but Ralph has a plan. With some paper, tinfoil and various craft supplies, he creates a Christmas wonderland for all of the passengers.
Okay, yeah, we’re crying. H&M, just take all of our money.
Watch the almost four-minute short above.
