What 2021 Movie Releases You Should Watch Based on Your Zodiac Sign

2021 is the year where everything is slowly but surely getting better and back to normal. Here at Hollywood.com, we obviously looooveee entertainment. But the idea of entertainment mixed with a little bit of astrology? Yes, please!

That’s why we’re going to tell you what new movie to watch in theaters or on major streaming platforms based on your astrological sign!

New Movie Releases for Aries: Moxie

Aries signs have that “I don’t care” attitude. They’re able to say “bite me,” and mean it. Aries signs are addicted to the thrill of raising hell. In this Amy Poehler-directed Netflix movie, Vivien Carter (Hadley Robinson) is inspired by her mom’s (Amy Poehler) rebellious past and publishes a journal to be distributed around her high school, called Moxie. Vivien’s own rebellion is instigated when the new girl, Lucy (Alycia Pascual-Peña), is called the “class c-word.” Yes, that c-word. Vivien is also called “most obedient,” which grinds her gears, as well. This movie is the epitome of feminist movies, and especially perfect if you’re an Aries.

Moxie is now streaming on Netflix.

New Movie Releases for Taurus: Stars Fell on Alabama

Taurus signs are drawn to nature and beauty. This romantic comedy stars James Maslow (you might recognize him from Nickelodeon’s Big Time Rush), a Hollywood agent who returns to his suburban hometown in Alabama for the first time in 15 years for his high school reunion. This movie is a classic romance where success may not matter as much as love, which is what a Taurus sign desires in life. The picturesque scenes of Willow Valley, Alabama will have a Taurus falling in love with the movie and maybe even romanticizing their own life as they know it!

Stars Fell on Alabama is now streaming on Hulu.

New Movie Releases for Gemini: Cruella

This one was a no-brainer. Gemini being “the twins,” Cruella is a perfect example of two personas — Geminis are also very versatile, and their ability to call someone out on their BS is sharp and uncanny. When provoked, they can be vengeful, if needed. Cruella, starring Emma Stone as the famous villain, may not be the villain after all. You do have to know there are two sides to every story.

Watch Cruella in theaters and on Disney+.

New Movie Releases for Cancer: Miss Juneteenth

The Cancer sign is a sign for Queen Bees. Miss Juneteenth is about a former beauty queen turned single mom who prepares her own daughter for the IRL Texas Miss Juneteenth pageant. Like a Cancer, Miss Juneteenth evokes emotion and empathy, and this movie is definitely good for those mother-daughter relationships that Cancers value so much. Cancers have a ton of empathy and are the mother figure in any friendship, relationship, you name it! And they’re always the hug doctor — there for a pick-me-up.

New Movie Releases for Leo: The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard

Leos may be seen as “overbearing,” but they actually have good intentions. Ruled by the sun, they are brash, but confident. Leos are also motivated by their own hearts and are protective of what’s theirs — including family and friends. They also like getting into mayhem, which is what’s entailed in this movie. The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard stars Ryan Reynolds as Michael Bryce who is called on another life-threatening mission: to protect the hitman’s (Samuel L. Jackson) con artist wife (Salma Hayek) — if you ask me, that’s a match made in heaven, and so are Leos and this movie!

New Movie Releases for Virgo: Spirit Untamed

Virgos are always looking for something bigger than themselves. In the case of Spirit Untamed, Lucky Prescott (Isabela Merced) moves to the countryside and on her journey she meets a horse named Spirit via equestriennes. She immediately connects to her deceased mother, who performed stunts on a horse. This prompts an immediate and deep emotional connection with the horse, especially when saving Spirit on a train line.

You can watch Spirit Untamed in movie theaters now.

New Movie Releases for Libra: Emma.

Libras do have strong opinions, mainly about other people, but have a tough time understanding the bigger picture: themselves. One thing they don’t like is being alone. In the case of Emma., she tries to play “matchmaker” with various characters, when really, she’s actually a “mismatcher.” I’m not going to discredit Jane Austen (a.k.a the greatest author of all time), but if you’ve seen Clueless, it’s basically the modernized version of Emma. But don’t worry, Emma Woodhouse is in for a happy ending when she realizes that she needs a happy ending for herself.

New Movie Releases for Scorpio: The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It

Scorpios are essentially fearless. Well, maybe not entirely. They just fear what other people don’t. In 1981, Arne Cheyenne Johnson (Ruairi O’Connor) pleaded not guilty to a murder in which the devil was involved. A true story, this murder turned out to be the most mind-boggling and scary case the Warrens (Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson) have ever dealt with in their supernatural careers. Needless to say, Scorpios will have no problem with feasting their eyes upon this horror film. If you’re a Scorpio and you like horror movies, then this is definitely fate!

You can watch The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It in movie theaters or on HBO Max.

New Movie Releases for Sagittarius: In the Heights

Sagittarians are classic poets. They are poets of life and on paper, which makes a musical perfect for them. In the Heights follows Usnavi (Anthony Ramos), a bodega owner who saves every penny he makes for a better life. He dreams specifically of the Dominican Republic, where his parents lived prior to their passing. Meanwhile, Nina (Leslie Grace) must face the music (literally) of being a Stanford dropout that is afraid to tell her dad.

You can watch In the Heights in theaters or on HBO Max.

New Movie Releases for Capricorn: Sublet

For the Capricorn who loves to travel, this movie is for you. Sublet is about an LGBTQ+ travel writer, Michael (John Benjamin Hickey) who visits Tel Aviv to write an article. This movie is also for the Capricorn who is a workaholic, but also a hopeless romantic. John Benjamin Hickey’s character is shown around Tel Aviv by a film student, Tomar (Niv Nissim) who has nowhere to go, except when he is allowed to stay with Michael.

You can watch Sublet in theaters now.

New Movie Releases for Aquarius: Our Ladies

Our Ladies is for the outcast who is, well, an Aquarius. But we don’t mean that in a bad way! Aquarians are fun and quirky, just like these girls in the film who are traveling to Edinburgh for a choir competition. On their way to the competition, the ladies wreak havoc in the big city and are struck with the lessons of love (of course), but also true friendship. That just goes to show that you can find a true friendship with an Aquarius.

You can watch Our Ladies in movie theaters now.

New Movie Releases for Pisces: Rita Moreno: Just a Girl Who Decided to Go for It

A true story about the Hollywood starlet herself, Rita Moreno overcame adversity with grace, although it wasn’t always smooth sailing. Rita endured trauma, abuse, amongst other things, but just like a Pisces does beside their insecurities, they just go for it. Pisces show excellent strength in the face of adversity, so there’s no doubt they will enjoy this documentary.

You can watch Rita Moreno: Just a GIrl Who Decided to Go for It in movie theaters now.
