Who Framed Roger Rabbit Oscar winner Richard Williams dead

Triple Oscar-winning animator Richard Williams has died.
He passed away at his home in Bristol, England on Friday (16Aug19), aged 86.
Williams worked on the animation for two Pink Panther films, and took charge of the title effects for 1967’s Casino Royale, but he is best known for his live-action animation on Who Framed Roger Rabbit – he created the title character and his wife, Jessica Rabbit, and went on to win two Oscars for the film.
The animator was also a triple BAFTA winner.
He also won an Oscar for his 1971 adaptation of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol.
Born in Toronto, Canada, Williams moved to England in the 1950s.
His life and work was covered in an autobiography, titled The Animator’s Survival Kit.
