PepsiCo and Warner Bros. have partnered for the upcoming film Hidden Figures. The film which is set to hit theaters January 13, 2017, tells the real-life story of Katherine G. Johnson (Taraji P. Henson), Dorothy Vaughan (Octavia Spencer) and Mary Jackson (Janelle Monae), three brilliant Black women who worked at NASA and helped launch the first American astronaut,John Glenn into space.
Since these sensational women crossed both gender and racial lines, PepsiCo and Warner Bros are celebrating emerging women in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM). Some lucky women will be given the opportunity to be discovered. They will win access to the New York Academy of Sciences STEM skills training materials and programs, up to $200,000 in scholarships and grants, and a trip to the Kennedy Space Center in Orlando, Florida.
