Zoe Saldana Lines Up ‘Dominion’ and More

Zoe Saldana, you wily rapscallion. What are you up to this time? Reportedly, the Avastar of Colombiana is tired of simply starring in epic thrill rides. She also wants to produce one.

The developing thriller Dominion will see Zaldana playing the lead role and the film’s producer. The movie is a supernatural story in which the actress plays a half-human, half-angel. She wowed us as a Na’vi princess—will she usurp her extraspecial glory as a hangel?

Dominion is another project Zaldana adds to a very long list of in-the-works films, including The Words with Bradley Cooper, Olivia Wilde and Dennis Quaid and the very Mark Ruffaloey Mark Ruffalo project, Infinitely Polar Bear. J.J. Abrams is producing that, so it’s hard to say whether the nerdiness will trounce the surplus of feelings, or vice versa.

In any event, what we have at our disposal is a future rife with Saldana. What do you all think of that? Not to shabby, eh? Eh indeed, Zoe. You waggish knave.

Staff editor Michael Arbeiter’s natural state of being can best be described as “mild panic attack.” His earliest memories of growing up in Queens, New York, involve nighttime conversations with a voice from his bedroom wall (the jury’s still out on what that was all about) and a love for classic television that spawned from the very first time he was allowed to watch “The Munsters.” Attending college at SUNY Binghamton, a 20-year-old Michael learned two things: that he could center his future on this love for TV and movies, and that dragons never actually existed — he was kind of late in the game on that one.
