‘7th Heaven’ Gets Second Chance

HOLLYWOOD - Family drama 7th Heaven has been saved from cancellation after new network CW stepped in and picked up the long-running show at the last minute.

The program aired its season finale last week and workers were even seen emptying the show's production offices.

7th Heaven was cancelled by the WB network after it became too expensive to produce.

Cast members, including Stephen Collins and Catherine Hicks, have been asked to take a pay cut by their new network.

The show is the longest running family drama in U.S. TV history and will return for a record 11th season.
