HOLLWOOD - ABC said Thursday that it plans to air Steven Spielberg's Saving Private Ryan
Sunday night without removing any of the horrific scenes of battlefield violence.
A spokesman for the network said that
the movie will be preceded by a statement from an ABC-TV executive
warning of the violent scenes and asking parents to give "a great deal
of thought and debate" to the question of whether their children ought
to view the movie.
