Glee mainstays Lea Michele, Cory Monteith and Chris Colfer will "graduate" at the end of season 3 -- the quasi-equivalent of watching your favorite Sopranos character get "whacked."
Series co-creator Ryan Murphy explained the forthcoming shake-up to The Hollywood Reporter: “You can keep them on the show for six years and people will criticize you for not being realistic, or you can be really true to life and say when they started the show they were very clearly sophomores and they should graduate at the end of their senior year.”
He went on to say that everything would become abundantly clearer during the Fox musical's Sept. 20 premiere.
