The Adventures of Tintin
are boundless. Tintin is an eager young reporter-in-the-making whose honesty and good nature are matched only by his thirst for adventure. The comic strip was created by Belgian cartoonist Georges Remi (seriously, all of the best cartoonists are from Belgium) and followed Tintin, his fox terrier Snowy, the colorful sea captain Archibald Haddock and a slew of supporting characters in various adventures.
Steven Spielberg
will direct the film adaptation of the cartoon. Voicing Tintin will be English actor
Jamie Bell
. As Haddock:
Andy Serkis
(
The Lord of the Rings
trilogy,
Rise of the Planet of the Apes
). Other notable castmembers include
Daniel Craig
as Red Rackham and
Simon Pegg
and
Nick Frost
as the Thom(p)son duo.
The Adventures of Tintin
will reach theaters December 23.
